Main mission
The Controller is responsible for the optimization and effective management of accounting processes and internal controls, ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial information.
This strategic role also involves producing key financial analyses to guide decision-making across the company.

Main responsibilities:
Finance / Auditing
- Accounting operations and month-end closing:
Supervise the monthly accounting cycle: accounts payable and accounts receivable, adjusting entries, bank reconciliations, fixed assets and depreciation.
Ensure that the team's daily tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
Participate in the preparation of monthly financial statements in collaboration with the VP Finance & Operations.
- Information controls and quality:
Ensure the accuracy of data in the accounting system and various tracking files.
Establish and maintain simple and effective internal controls to limit errors.
Document the procedures and ensure their proper application by the team.
- Process improvement and automation:
Review and optimize recurring accounting processes.
Propose and implement concrete improvements (Excel or ERP automation, simplification of steps).
Participate in projects for the implementation or development of financial tools.
- Analysis and support for management:
Produce reports and analyses to support decision-making.
Collaborating in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and management reports.
Translate accounting data into strategic information (findings, risks, elements to monitor).
- Human Resources:
Plan, distribute and monitor the team's daily tasks.
Provide close supervision and offer constructive feedback.
Participate in the integration of new resources as needed.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or related field. A professional designation is an asset.
- Between 2 and 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, including increased responsibilities.
- Practical experience with accounting systems and financial analysis tools. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Good knowledge of practices related to the preparation of financial statements and the budgeting process.
- Participation in process optimization or automation projects.
